John Wambaugh, Senior Vice President
John Wambaugh has over twenty years of experience in defining, implementing and operating smart metering and meter data management systems for the utility industry. His experience includes development of energy management system applications, distribution management system applications and outage management systems.
John is a recognized expert in the technology, operation and business processes of AMI and MDM as well as utility back office systems impacted by smart meter data. He has a unique blend of deep technical knowledge and customer interaction skills. He has demonstrated an ability to interact from the executive and senior level management as well as field and line personnel at large utilities. John defined the implementation methodology for the definition and implementation of MDM solutions.
John has helped industry customers change their processes and systems to better utilize the knowledge provided from smart metering. While at Cellnet Data Systems, he pioneered the implementation processes still utilized today to design, install and operate Advanced Metering Infrastructure for millions of electric, gas and water meters.
