Utility Integration Solutions (UISOL) Organizes 5th Annual Utility Integration Conference September 16-17, 2008
Lafayette, CA –September 2, 2008— Utility Integration Solutions, Inc (UISOL) announced today that its 5th annual Utility Integration Conference (UIC2008) will be presented September 16-17, 2008 at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. As with the last four conferences, UIC2008 is presented in partnership with EUCI, an organizer of conferences that serve utilities and other businesses in the international power industry.
UIC2008 will focus on the theme of Integrating the Smart Grid, with speakers from leading utilities and independent system operators (ISOs) discussing the role of integration in their business improvement solutions. Speakers will address issues including the integration of smart metering, demand response, distributed resources, and distributed intelligence. A number of panel sessions discuss timely issues such as interoperability standards, business intelligence, integration platforms, and the integration of demand response.

A pre-conference training workshop, led by UISOL CEO Ali Vojdani and UISOL COO Mark Triplett, will be held on September 15 to provide background and address the implementation of utility Business Process Management (BPM) to effectively manage end-to-end business processes and improve performance and compliance.
