Utility Integration Solutions (UISOL) Announces New Solution Center in Silicon Valley

Lafayette, CA –September 16, 2008— Utility Integration Solutions (UISOL), the utility industry business integration specialist, announced today that it has recently opened its Utility Integration Solution Center in Santa Clara, CA.

The new Silicon Valley office will focus on the development of innovative solutions to help utilities effectively automate and manage their business processes and establish the flexible infrastructure that is crucial in today’s dynamic market. UISOL headquarters will remain in Lafayette, CA.

In 2006, after five years of R&D focused on building the future infrastructure for management of demand response (DR), UISOL successfully demonstrated its next-generation DR application, Demand Response Business Network (DRBizNet™), in California during a field simulation project funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and managed by the California Institute for Energy Efficiency (CIEE). On August 14, 2008, UISOL announced it had entered into an agreement to implement a next-generation DR application for PJM Interconnection (PJM) based on DRBizNet.
