UISOL Delivers Demand Response Demonstration System for California ISO DR Lab
Goal to increase DR resources in the California market
LAFAYETTE, CA – March 17, 2009 Utility Integration Solutions, Inc. ( HYPERLINK “http://www.uisol.com” UISOL) recently delivered its DRBizNet demand response management system in a demonstration environment at the California ISO (CAISO) Demand Response (DR) Lab.
The project was completed with support from the California Institute for Energy & Environment (CIEE) on behalf of the California Energy Commission (CEC) through funding from the Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) Program.
CAISO Principal for Technology Strategies Walter Johnson said, “This demonstration of the DRBizNet demand response management system supports stakeholder and market participant education and fosters a collaborative environment aimed at increasing the integrated deployment of demand response resources in the market.”
Following its delivery of a successful 2006 field demonstration of DRBizNet in California, UISOL has focused its efforts on commercializing DRBizNet. UISOL is currently engaged in a deployment of the DRBizNet system at PJM.
UISOL Chief Executive Officer Ali Vojdani said, “The installation of the DRBizNet demonstration system at CAISO will ultimately help expand the deployment of additional demand response resources in the California market by advancing industry knowledge and collaboration.”
