Manuel Atanacio, P.E., M.B.A, Vice President Control Center Services
Manuel has more than two decades of experience in electric system operations directly related to bulk transmission system networks, power generation, distribution and energy management, as well as SCADA systems. He has spent 14 years as a consultant in the power industry and will continue to provide expert consultation, support and systems integration services in his role as senior director of control center services at UISOL.
Prior to joining UISOL, Manuel held the position of senior principal consultant at DNV KEMA, where he worked directly with electricity councils, utilities and industry leaders to develop and deliver an array of business processes, market strategies and project executions. Previously, he served as an engineer and superintendent at Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) in San Juan.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Manuel is a senior member of the IEEE and PES Societies and is a member of the International Honor Society for Business’ Beta Gamma Sigma chapter. He has authored several technical presentations and papers, covering topics such as wind and solar generation and integration.
