Support services for Outage Management System and integration of Outage Management System with Mobile Data System.
Project Scope
The Mid West Investor Owned Utility (IOU) has had an OMS supplied by CES International in production for over seven years. During this period of time, CES International was acquired by SPL WorldGroup, and most recently by Oracle. At the time of the change in ownership of the SPL OMS product to Oracle, the IOU was far along in their upgrade to their OMS system, which included a new integration with an Intergraph Mobile Data system. Unfortunately, Oracle introduced new technologies into the product that would have required a near total return to the beginning of the upgrade process.
By working with OMS and mobile data experts at UISOL, the IOU has been able to continue with the original upgrade and mobile integration project without having to restart the upgrade and thus obtain the benefits of the OMS to mobile integration in a much faster timeframe.
In August of 2007 the IOU requested UISOL to provide a two-year maintenance contract for 7X24 OMS Support, starting September 2007.

- Consulting on OMS and GIS issues surrounding the IOU’s recent merger
- Testing support for OMS to mobile integration
- Reimplementation and testing of Oracle patches to the SPL OMS
- Bug fixes to SPL OMS product
- Bug fixes to SPL OMS mobile adapter
- Support during field testing of OMS and mobile system integration with real mobile data terminals
