Maintenance Work Management and Asset Management
Project Objective
Improving Gas Distribution Business Processes through implementation of an Asset Registry and Business Process Integration and Workflow at a West Coast Investor Owned Utility (IOU).
Project Scope
Implemented an Asset Registry using SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module and automating a number of gas distribution business processes related to Gas Preventive and Corrective Maintenance (GPCM).
UISOL developed a full design (including CIM-based message definition and XML schemas) for integration of the aforementioned systems, leveraging CIM objects where appropriate. UISOL designed, developed, and implemented a number of workflow applications for automation of certain business processes including corrective maintenance and work completion (e.g., closing of maintenance orders). These workflows are currently in production.
UISOL also managed the implementation of an asset registry for the IOU’s distribution assets using SAP. The effort involved collecting, cleaning, and converting data in 22 divisions of the company.
