Review and refinement of an East Coast System Operator EAI implementation roadmap, business case, and SOA architecture.
Project Scope
The system operator was investigating the potential applications and the business case for implementation of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technology.
UISOL was asked to review, refine, and validate its EAI implementation roadmap and business case before presenting the business case to the system operator Senior Management.
Under a consulting agreement with the operator, UISOL reviewed the EAI implementation roadmap and business case. A workshop was held at the system operator to 1) obtain additional information on the operator’s vision, business plan, and technology plan 2) verify the validity of the EAI implementation roadmap and business case and 3) propose refinements. In addition, based on UISOL’s experiences in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), UISOL reviewed the operator’s plan to incorporate SOA with EAI technology to determine if the plan is viable or too ambitious and if so, recommend adjustments to reduce risk.
